Video: Four-star Burnett talks recruiting
With only eight weeks before signing day 2007, things are really heating up. Morgan Burnett is a recruit that has been wide open through the entire process, but now is the time that he has to start narrowing things down. We visited with Burnett late last week and brought us up to date on his plans between now and signing day on this exclusive video interview.
Burnett is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete that will likely play safety on the next level. His style is not really physical, but more finesse. He reads quarterback's eyes, he has great instincts, and a lot of knowledge of that position.
Many schools across the country have been on Burnett for a long period of time, but time is running out. We have about eight weeks before Burnett will sign his letter of intent and fax it to the school of his choice.
Close to thirty offers are in, but only a handful of schools remain in contention for this Rivals100 prospect.
We sat down with Burnett right before he headed out to Atlanta for his official visit to Georgia Tech over the weekend for this exclusive video interview.
Burnett talks about the schools that remain in contention for his signature, who has come in for in-home visits, what he is going to base his decision on, and more in this interview.
If you were not able to watch the interview, then here are some of the quotes from Burnett.
"Things are getting kind of hectic right now. A lot of different schools are come to my house and coming up to the school to talk with me about visit."
"Georgia Tech, Florida, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, and Georgia have already come through."
"First, they [coaches] will come to the school to talk with me. They tell what they have to offer and stuff. Then, they will go to my house to mainly talk to my parents and then they talk to me and my parents as a whole. They talk about their schools and depth charts."
"My family is real involved with it [the process], mainly my brother because he has been through the whole process. He gives me a heads up on everything."
