Rebounding battle key against Memphis
With games against Louisville, Illinois, San Diego State, and Houston to start the season, many people believe that Arizona's out of conference schedule has been very difficult. With that being said, the most difficult game of the early season comes on Wednesday when Arizona takes on Memphis.
Memphis is an interesting team because, while solid, the Tigers have been disappointing in facing the better teams on their schedule. For instance, Memphis lost to Georgia Tech by seven and Tennessee by 18. While both of those teams are good, both games should have been winnable for Memphis.
Although Memphis likes to run, the Tigers also have somewhat of a reputation of being a more physical team. However, judging by the team's two losses, Memphis is vulnerable on the glass, especially offensively.
In Memphis' loss against Georgia Tech, the Yellow Jackets finished with 18 offensive rebounds and 15 more total rebounds. In the loss against Tennessee, Memphis finished with more offensive rebounds but the Volunteers still won the rebounding battle.
