Arizona keeps it going against Memphis
The Wildcats improved to 9-1 Wednesday night as they defeated a very good Memphis team by the score of 79-71.
Mustafa Shakur led the way for Arizona with a magnificent performance, scoring 23 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.
Chase Budinger and Ivan Radenovic each contributed 18 points in the victory and notched four and six rebounds respectively.
Despite getting two quick baskets, Arizona was behind throughout most of the first half as the Tigers were on fire from everywhere, making six of 11 three point shots in the first half.
Despite the Memphis' hot shooting, the Cats defense looked good in the first half in everything from man defense to many variations on the zone.
However, on the offensive end the Wildcats looked very sloppy, making lots of bad passes and committing plenty of turnovers early.
