Boise's Dailey sees similar foe in OU
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- James Patton might find a new favorite offensive lineman in Arizona. The only problem being that he plays for Boise State.
Boise State offensive center Jadon Dailey is a player Patton could learn to love. Even though Dailey stands at 5-foot-11, he embodies the attitude which has allowed both Boise State and Oklahoma to rise above the rabble of finesse teams and stake their claim to a Fiesta Bowl Championship.
"We're offensive lineman and we're dirt dogs," said Dailey. "We get in there and we hand fight and we're in the trenches and we're getting beat up but we love it. That's why we play offensive line."
The interesting thing about Dailey is that he has a deep admiration for the team he's getting ready to line up against Monday evening in University of Phoenix Stadium.
When Boise State looks in the mirror, they see Oklahoma staring back.
"They did just as well without Adrian Peterson as they did with him," said Dailey. "Their offensive line took it on their shoulders and we admire that. That's how you play ball right there."
