Crump remains solid
Hoover offensive lineman Patrick Crump accepted a Tide "greyshirt" offer this summer over offers from Louisville, Michigan and Tennessee among others. Crump, 6-foot-3 285-pounds, grew up a lifelong Alabama fan with two relatives that played for the Tide. This weekend the future guard was in Tuscaloosa for his official visit and the trip went as well as expected.
"I'm pretty familiar with the campus and football facilities because I've been there so many times so my trip this weekend to Alabama was really more about the coaches and trying to build a relationship with them," Crump said. "That went great. I'd heard a lot of about Coach Saban so I was anxious to meet him. When he explained his goal of winning every year and what it meant to him I knew he was the coach I wanted to play for. At Hoover we have set the goals of winning and playing as a team every game, every year so I'm very familiar with what it takes to be a championship team. So is Coach Saban.
