Ole Miss' top commitment, Mississippi's top prospect Chris Strong had planned on taking an official visit to Oxford last weekend, but his plans were changed because of the death of a friend.

Strong attended a friend's funeral on Friday afternoon, then arrived in Oxford Saturday morning.

"This has been a tough week," Strong said Monday night. "One my dear friends was killed last week and my grandmother passed away tonight."

While Strong is facing adversity head on, one still could tell the usual up tempo personable linebacker wasn't his true self.
