Gordon dominant in revenge win

Peegs.com For awhile it looked like it might be a rare off night for Eric Gordon at Lawrence North. The Indiana signee had missed his first three shots from the field and did not score his first points till about a minute was left in the first quarter. What we didn't know then is the nation's #2 ranked player was not going to miss a shot from the floor the rest of the evening. That fact eventually spelled doom for the home Lawrence North team despite the fact that the Wildcats entered the fourth period sporting a comfortable 44-37 advantage.
North Central still trailed 52-46 with 4:35 remaining when Gordon really went to work on Lawrence North. The state's leading scorer sandwiched a pair of old fashion three point plays around a Damon Ellison basket in an eight point spurt in just 28 seconds of play that suddenly his team to a 54-52 lead with 4:07 remaining. Then with the score tied at 57, Gordon scored or assisted on eight straight points for North Central and the Panthers rolled to a 70-59 victory.
