Tide Steeles last-second win over UGA
Despite never holding the lead for a single second of the game, the 9th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide pulled out a win at home against the Georgia Bulldogs thanks to a late run capped off by a game-winning basket by All-American Ronald Steele as time expired.
"Coach told me to hold the ball until the end," said Steele. "Richard (Hendrix) came up and set the screen and I got tied up for a second but I was able to spin off of it and take the shot."
Steele shot 4 of 9 from the field but made the two biggest shots of the game, a three-pointer to tie the game with 52 seconds remaining and the game-winning field goal as time expired.
