Aaron Brooks has lifted his team to amazing heights so far this season with brilliant play. Click the link to hear Aaron's comments following the Ducks' victory over California Saturday.
Here is an audio of the Oregon senior guards' post-game comments. The following are a few excerpts from comments by Brooks, as well as a few things people had to say about this tremendous player:
Senior guard Aaron Brooks:
"The crowd really got into it when we made some plays. When they got up we made some runs. It's good to have them all back. We've missed them for a while."
"If you lose a couple games, you're down in the dirt again. We know if we keep playing hard, we'll keep the buzz going."
On forward Malik Hairston:
"He's our leader. He's our driving force and motivational speaker. To have him back out there, battling with us, it's just great."
"They (California) got off to a big lead. We need to start every game like it's the second half. If there's something we need to improve on, that is it."
Here are some of the comments about Brooks following the game:
Oregon head coach Ernie Kent:
"We will be missing a key ingredient for the Washington game with Aaron Brooks being unable to play, but we are going to have to toughen up and find other ways to score the ball and get that win."
Junior forward Malik Hairston:
"The past couple of years you guys haven't seen Aaron Brooks. Aaron Brooks is a dominant player and he has a passion for the game."
Junior forward: Bryce Taylor:
"We feed off of Aaron. He leads the way with scoring and we just try to fit in. He's a great player and a great point guard."
California guard Ayinde Ubaka:
"Aaron made a lot of great plays, he's just a great player overall."
