DB commits to Tide
While the attention of the Alabama recruiting momentum has largely been focused on high-profile kids, coach Nick Saban's staff has apparently still found time to look for lesser-known prospects that may have been overlooked by other schools. On Monday night, those efforts paid off with the third commitment of Saban's short tenure as cornerback Kareem Jackson pledged to the Tide.
"Kareem is at Alabama right now, and he's committed," said Jackson's mother Rossalyn. "He called me, and he told me he found a home. He's supposed to enroll soon, and I'm ecstatic that he found a place and will be enrolled He was committed to Vanderbilt, but on his visit to Tuscaloosa, he loved the new staff and decided to go ahead and commit. He's excited because he loved the program. He went to prep school last year to raise his test score, and he did. We are so proud of him.
