The third consecutive week as a ranked team has not made the Cougar men's basketball team a jaded bunch of guys - mostly because by this time next week it will be the first-time ever that a Cougar team has been continuously ranked that long in school history - and when it comes to dealing with history, they have dealt with it well. They have already dealt Washington its worst defeat ever and dealt Arizona their first loss in Pullman since big hair was still, um, big.
But none of that has gone to the heads of the Cougars because Tony Bennett is their head coach and his father, Dick Bennett, is their former head coach and they have heard plenty of words about dealing with both humiliation and success - aspects which are not too far apart every year in the Pac-10. The 18th-ranked Cougars are coming off a 75-47 demolition of the rival Washington Huskies but are not expected to let that success nor their previous success, go to their heads.
