After pounding Washington by 30 points on Saturday, the Wildcats next challenge comes against Oregon State in Corvallis tonight. This is another game that Arizona should win, but with the team dropping six of its last nine games, nothing is a given anymore.
The Beavers have had some problems of their own this season, winning only one Pac-10 game to date over lowly Arizona State. As a result, they are on a six-game losing streak.
In the last meeting between Arizona and Oregon State, the Wildcats came away with the edge, 83-72. Marcus Williams scored what was then a career-high 27 points in the victory in addition to eight rebounds and four assists.
Chase Budinger turned in a double-double for Arizona, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds.
For the Beavers, junior Marcel Jones lit up the scoreboard for 26 points and eight rebounds and is the season's leading scorer and rebounder for his team with 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
