Texarkana (Tex.) Texas High's Ryan Mallett isn't Texas High's anymore … he's Michigan's after enrolling at the U. for winter semester. That hasn't stopped the rumors from flying that he was thinking of transferring or looking for a way out of his letter of intent.

In fact, they've been flying fast and furious about the five-star signal caller (Rivals.coms' No. 4 player overall), first from Arkansas, then from Alabama. Mallett said Friday he'd heard 'em all.

"Everybody gets homesick," Mallett said, "but I heard a couple of those [rumors] and just kind of laughed. "But I do talk to some of my friends every night, and my parents."
