Rudolph mainly looking at five
Sitting on the couch this fall watching Sunday Night Football on NBC for Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder tight end Kyle Rudolph was a surreal experience. Whenever the Toyota "Jon and JJ Line of Scrimmage" commercial would come on, there would be Rudolph making a one-handed touchdown grab against rival Benedictine. The 6-7, 220-pound prospect was already a nationally recognized name.
Toyota ran the commercials during halftime of most NBC Sunday Night Football telecasts this fall. It featured two filmmakers who traveled around the country in their Toyota truck visiting high school football games and turning the footage into a commercial. One Friday night they showed up at Elder's game against Benedictine and Rudolph rose to the occasion with the one-handed grab.
Even though he now sports over a dozen scholarship offers from Division I football programs and is sure to have his highlights replayed on television for years to come, the experience was still one Rudolph thought was pretty neat.
