Purdue among first to offer star Michigan lineman
Purdue inked just one offensive tackle in the class of 2007 and will look to re-load at the position in '08.
So it might be good news for the Boilermakers that the position is loaded in the class of 2008. The staff has already been out early scouting junior prospects and identified one in Grand Haven (Mich.) prospect Dann O'Neill.
The 6-foot-7, 295-pound O'Neill spoke with Purdue and was offered a scholarship. Michigan followed up with an offer on signing day and joins the Boilermakers in his early top five. Those are not the only programs inquiring, however.
Several Big Ten schools, Notre Dame, Boston College, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, UCLA and USC are also showing interest.
