Weather Dominates in First Full Scrimmage
All of the questions and concerns surrounding the Vol wide receivers remain and will remain throughout the off-season. Saturday, you got very little gauge on the Vol passing game thanks swirling gusts of winds inside Neyland Stadium.
"We came out and tried to throw it some today, but it was tough," receiver Austin Rogers said. "The ball would come out of spiral some and it was hard to catch. We ran a lot of shorter passes today to try and get the ball out of the wind as quick as possible."
It was not all wind related as the receivers did struggle to get open and didn't catch but two passes through the first two-thirds of the scrimmage. Quarterback Erik Ainge said the lack of passing efficiency was not the biggest focus today because of the weather.
