2009 standout Tostenson leaving Creighton Prep
2009 two-sport standout Vondrae Tostenson is leaving Omaha (Neb.) Creighton Prep and he plans to be enrolled at Millard South by as early as Monday.
Tostenson's grandparents Art and Sharon Rodriguez have taken temporary custody of Vondrae and his eighth grade brother, and he said a number of things factored in to their decision to pull him out of Prep. Millard South will be Tostenston's third school he's attended in as many years. As a freshman, Tostenson was two-sport varsity standout at Omaha Central.
"We are going through some very serious family issues right now," Rodriguez said. "Vondrae and his younger brother have moved in with me and my wife and we live about five minutes from Millard South.
"We have nothing bad to say about Prep and what they did for Vondrae. Prep is a great school, but it just wasn't the right fit for Vondrae."
