Nolan having a major impact this spring
Unlike his former College of the Canyons teammate, Troy Nolan didn't have much to be happy about in his first year in Tempe. While Justin Tryon was rapidly becoming the top cornerback on the roster, Nolan was fighting to recover from an injury that eventually forced him to redshirt.
"It was frustrating because we've been playing together for so long and then I was hurt," Nolan said following Saturday's scrimmage. "The problem was my quad. I had a quad atrophy. That was the problem with my knee and it just didn't have the strength. So when I got to Camp T my knee was just swelling up and it kept swelling up over and over and I couldn't play on it. So I had to get the muscle strength back from there. By that time it was already six games into the season and I just figured it was too late to go back from there."
