Rylan Reed is the old man on campus
Most college students still in school in their mid-twenties are working towards their master's or law degree. But offensive lineman Rylan Reed is working towards solidifying his spot as the starting right tackle.
"We got a new group of 18 year olds coming in soon and it seems like I get older and they stay the same age," laughed Reed.
After playing baseball in the Chicago White Sox minor league system for four years straight out of high school, how is Reed's body handling the physicality of Big 12 football?
"It's a whole different kind of punishment but so far so good. I'm just trying to keep myself young, and it's going well. It's holding up good. There's going to be some nicks and bruises, but so far so good."
Classified as a junior, Reed looks to bring some much needed leadership to an offensive front that lost four of its five starters from last year.
