Buffs get back to work
BOULDER, Colo. - After taking 10 days off for spring break, the Buffaloes returned to the practice fields on Monday afternoon.
"Traditionally the day after spring break is tough sledding but I thought they did a good job," head coach Dan Hawkins said. "Of course I had kind of prepped them. I started text messaging them on Friday and a lot on Sunday. Then I met with our leaders this morning. They ran around, we got some stuff out of them, we practiced well."
During the break, Hawkins took a trip out to the Sunshine State to check out the national champion Florida Gators. Hawkins has known Florida head coach Urban Meyer since his early days coaching Utah.
"I think it is really good to go out and compare notes and see how other people do things," Hawkins expressed. "It makes you think, not so much even about what they do, but maybe about what you do and why you do it.
"I went to a lot of meetings and just soaked it up all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course Urban and his staff do a great job, they really do."
