Jackson back: Grady reaffirms commitment

TheWolverine.com Former Michigan assistant basketball coach Mike Jackson is back on the payroll. After accepting a stint at Illinois State last week, Jackson has accepted an offer from John Beilein to rejoin the U-M staff in the same capacity.
Though Jackson's departure could have been a PR nightmare for Illinois State, head coach Tim Jankovich handled it graciously, noting there were circumstances that made it easier to take.
"While it may not appear so on the surface, this is a story with a happy ending," Jankovich told GoRedbirds.com. "When I hired Mike, my only concern was the fact that his family would not be able to come here for at least a year, as they have a child with special needs. Despite the new staff at Michigan offering Mike to come back, he told me that he would honor his commitment to Illinois State.
