Q&A with offensive lineman Wes Palazzi
Wes Palazzi, who is listed at 6-foot-1, 285-pounds, might not be the Buffaloes' biggest offensive lineman. But he just might be the toughest. After redshirting his first year on campus, Palazzi is in a position to start at left guard.
Palazzi took time out to answer a variety of questions on Tuesday:
Coach Hawkins said that the lack of offensive linemen on campus this spring might actually be kind of a blessing in disguise. Would you agree with that?
Wes Palazzi: "Yeah, the lack of numbers has been good in a way because of all the reps we've been able to take. I think we've gotten so much better already this spring and we're going to continue to get better. So I think the large number of reps that we've been getting has definitely helped."
Getting all those reps this spring, has that helped build continuity within the offensive line?
"Yes. We're all working together all the time. So having one line and running through all the motions together definitely helps build chemistry."
With all the reps you've taken this spring, how is your body holding up?
"My body is fine. It's fun; we're having a great time. The new offensive line coach (Jeff Grimes) is great. So it's a lot of fun out here; can't complain about anything."
