Reed Headed To Lawrence In June
For Tyrel Reed, his senior season of high school hoops didn't end as expected. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from Burlington (KS) High School was hoping to win a second State Championship, but for the third time in four years, the four-star prospect fell short. Reed told Jayhawk Slant that he is looking forward to moving to Lawrence in June.
There's not question that it's been and up and down year for Reed, the No. 100 ranked player in the class of 2007.
The highlight came when he signed a Letter-of-Intent to play college basketball for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks.
However, due to an ankle injury, which Reed suffered early in the season, he missed several games and was unable to get into a groove early on.
Additionally, Reed was hoping to win a final State Championship, the first since his freshman year, but fell short of achieving that goal.
