Ready to make an impact
In the 2007 recruiting class Baylor signed Cedar Hill teammates Chris Francis, John Jones, and Romie Blaylock and in the 2008 class the Bears have secured teammates from another pair of teammates.
Cornerback Kydarian Wilkins was the first South Oak Cliff Golden Bear to make the call to give his pledge to Baylor over offers from Kansas and Kansas St. Then Thursday of this week defensive end Jacquies Smith decided he was ready to go ahead and give his pledge.
Missouri is the most recent team to show interest in the Smith and an offer is expected early next week. Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin have also shown interest in Smith who also plays linebacker for the Golden Bears.
