The Utes received their first commitment of the 2008 recruiting class. Lamar Chapman, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback out of El Camino (Torrance, Calif.) Community College pulled the trigger this afternoon and committed to play for the University of Utah.

Chapman is also close friends with current Utes Damilyn Tanner and Elijah Wesson.
