Robinsons fate linked
Greg Robinson couldn't be blamed for the Orange's 1-10 record in 2005. After all, it was his first season and he was coaching recruits brought in for a different system. Even the best college coach can't be expected to turn around a program in a single season.
While last season's four wins weren't exactly what most Orange fans hoped for, it was still only Robinson's second season. He was still coaching a team that, for all intents and purpose, came to play for Paul Pasqualoni and expected different styles of both offense and defense.
But this season Greg Robinson is fresh out of excuses.
Three years is the general allotment of time for a college coach to prove his worth.
Yes, Delone Carter may be injured.
Yes, Curtis Brinkley may be running on two bad knees.
And Yes, the Orange lost 12 starters to graduation coming into this season.
But five wins in the last two seasons have Orange fans restless and it won't take too many losses before Greg Robinson's chair begins feeling a bit warm.
