Mississippi All-Star set for Iron Bowl battle
Auburn and Alabama wage their annual gridiron war at the end of every season but AU signee Chaz Ramsey will get a head start on the rest of his future teammates this Saturday in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
Ramsey, who's expected to play left guard, center and even tight end for Mississippi will often line up opposite of Alabama signee Josh Chapman.
Chapman originally committed to Auburn before a late change to the Tide.
"They've got Josh Chapman playing noseguard and I've heard he's a really good athlete," said Ramsey. "They've got some good linebackers too. I played with (Alabama signee) Rolando McClain in the Rivals All-Star game and (Auburn signee) Eltoro Freeman is a great athlete."
Ramsey has prepared this week by going up against noseguard Joshua Stephens every day in practice. The Jackson State signee packs a powerful punch on his 5-foot-11, 320-pound frame.
