Receiver sold on Boilermakers
This recruiting season, Purdue will need receivers badly.
As it stands now, sophomore Derek Benson and incoming freshmen Waynelle Gravesande and Derrick Sherman will be the position's only scholarship underclassmen in the fall, and that's assuming they all remain at receiver.
So, Coach Joe Tiller and Co., will look to reload at one of their signature positions. That project started in earnest Thursday, when Ohio's Roy Roundtree committed to the Boilermakers over offers from Nebraska, Miami (Ohio), Toledo and Eastern Michigan.
Credit the Nike training camp that was help in West Lafayette May 5 with an assist.
