'Oklahoma was more than I expected'
With Oklahoma on the verge of it's week of summer camps there will be plenty of news to come surrounding Sooner targets but both in importance and actuality there might not be a player to hit campus more notable than Parker (Colo.) Ponderosa inside linebacker Jon Major. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound linebacker is currently on his way back from his first ever visit to Oklahoma.
He took a chance to talk with SoonerScoop.com on his way to Will Rogers airport about the past two days spent in Norman.
"I think it went well, I enjoyed it. We had some rain on Friday night, but it was pretty nice," Major said.
Major, the nation's No. 83 prospect, had spoken on the phone with linebackers coach Brent Venables several times but it was his first chance to talk to Sooners defensive coordinator in person. The two spent the majority of the trip together and Major again left with a positive impression of Venables.
