With Texas Tech taking a small class this year, it was fairly obvious going into June's mini-camp sessions that most of the campers in attendance simply wouldn't receive an offer. However, the were two positions (offensive and defensive line) where it was thought that if a player showed the coaches something, he might just walk away with a scholarship.

Well, at Tech's first mini-camp on June 3rd, this scenario played out with under-the-radar Diana (TX) product Terry McDaniel.

Texas Tech, who joins Colorado and LSU in giving McDaniel a written scholarship offer, has a distinct advantage over the competition.
