Michigan junior hopes for Irish interest
For Larry Caper, the question was never if he had the talent to play at the next level. The only uncertainty about the 5-foot-11, 210-pound rising junior running back was whether he'd get the chance to show college coaches that he was what they were looking for.
As it turns out, it didn't take long for Caper to make his mark on the 2009 recruiting scene. The Battle Creek, Mich., standout picked up his first offer early this spring when he attended Michigan State's junior day. Caper's second verbal offer came last month when he camped at Michigan.
"I knew I had the ability," Caper said. "I just wanted to keep working hard."
