The past few days brought more than just the beginning of another high school football season to 6-foot-5, 275-pound Edwardsville (Ill.) offensive lineman David Young. Earlier today, Young received word about a scholarship offer coming his way from an SEC power.

The new offer came out of nowhere for Young, but he knew a little bit about the Gators program already.

Florida certainly grabbed Young's attention with the offer, but whether or not they make a serious run for his signature in February remains a mystery.

For the time being, Young's previous final three of Illinois, Nebraska and Wisconsin continue to make up his solidified list.
