Christensen ready to lead the offense

HawkeyeReport.com After getting his feet wet last season, including a start against Northern Illinois, quarterback Jake Christensen looks forward to leading Iowa offense in 2007. The sophomore talks about developing a chemistry with his wide receivers, how last year's experience helped prepare him, opening the season in Chicago near his hometown, plus a whole lot more.
Q: Any concerns about the offensive line?
CHRISTENSEN: No, they have a lot of capable guys who are willing to get in there and ready to get in there, so there's not much worry about. Coach Ferentz and Coach Morgan - obviously Coach Ferentz works really closely with Coach Morgan on the offensive line - they know what they're doing. They'll get them ready.
Q: How about getting to work with a young, but experienced wide receiver core this year?
CHRISTENSEN: It's good because you can kind of work with younger guys closer to your age and grow with them a little bit. We've kind of adapted to each other and getting a feel for each other, so it's good.
