NU Notes: Castille continues to thrive
No true freshman has received more buzz in fall camp this August than running back Quentin Castille.
The 6-foot-1, 245 pound Castille brings a unique running style to Nebraska's backfield that the Huskers haven't seen in a quite a while.
During a live scrimmage situation on Monday, Castille demonstrated that style when he plowed sophomore safety Rickey Thenarse about 20 yards down field.
"Today he got (Thenarse) real good," junior wide receiver Nate Swift said. "I've been asking him every day after practice when I'm going to see the 'truck stick' and finally today I got one."
When Castille first got to camp, there was talk by some that he was too big to play running back. When Castille moved to Lincoln from Texas this June, he weighed in at 265 pounds.
On Monday, Castille said he's weight is now down to 245 pounds, and his overall body fat percentage is only 12 percent.
