Monday Night... Lights
MADISON, Wis. - Monday night, the University of Wisconsin football team, dressed in half pads, returned to Camp Randall Stadium, playing under the lights for session two of the Badgers' second two-a-day of fall camp.
The following are BadgerBlitz.com's observations from the seventh day of camp, Monday, August 13.
Matthew Shaughnessy and Kurt Ware were again spotted in full pads, but did not participate in practice. With the defensive end duo sidelined, Brandon Kelly filled in opposite of Jamal Cooper on the first team defensive line.
Other players sidelined included quarterback Dustin Sherer (leg injury, should return soon), linebacker DeAndre Levy (replaced at sam by Jaevery McFadden), tight endTravis Beckum (rested because of back spasms), defensive tackle Brandon Hoey and defensive back Otis Merrill.
While Danny Kaye spent most of the morning session at left tackle, Gabe Carimi held the spot most of the evening Monday, while John Moffitt played next to the redshirt freshman, occupying the left guard spot. The rest of the first line stayed the same, with the second team consisting of Kaye, left guard Andy Kemp, center Brad Thorson, right guard Bill Nagy and right tackle Jake Bscherer.
