Tuesday practice turns into scrimmage
What was supposed to be a normal practice, besides the fact that it was moved up a half an hour, ended up turning into a scrimmage, which saw the first-team offense go up against the first-team defense and the second-team offense against the second-team defense.
Willie Tuitama led the first drive and the UA offense got off to a good start. Chris Jennings was the focal point of the offense in the first series, as he ran four yards on first down and then caught a five-yard pass from Tuitama. An off-sides penalty gave the offense a first down.
Jennings ran on first down, again picking up four yards. That set up a 16-yard pass from Tuitama on second down, moving the chains to about the 50-yard line. On first down, Jennings ran again, picking up over 10 yards on the carry.
