Robinson ready for leadership
When the Orange take the field for their season opener against Washington on August 31, there will be a new gunslinger at the helm, Andrew Robinson.
The 6-foot-3 quarterback was officially given the starting position a little over a week ago, but is not taking the new promotion for granted.
"Being named the starting quarterback was a great honor," Robinson said. "I know there will be a lot of responsibilities that will come with being the QB and I will be welcoming the challenge."
In his freshman season in 2006, Robinson worked behind Perry Patterson and waited for his turn.
"Watching Perry last season I learned a lot about the game speed of the college football game," Robinson said. "It was totally different than the high school game, so when I was able to get in a few games last year just seeing things from the sideline helped me out a lot."
