Alabama opens its Southeastern Conference schedule Saturday against Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville. As the first road game and first conference game of the season, the pressure begins to climb for the Crimson Tide after an easy opening win. Here are five players to watch against the Commodores.
1.] Leigh Tiffin. The sophomore kicker from Muscle Shoals didn't exactly exorcise his 2006 demons in the season opener against Western Carolina, going 1 for 3 on field goal attempts. One miss was from chipshot distance, and the other missed badly. In a blowout win that featured seven touchdowns by the Crimson Tide offense, it had no effect on the game. Tiffin's performance this week, however, could be the difference. A strong effort against the Commodores would not only help the team a great deal, it would help Tiffin's confidence entering even tougher SEC games against Arkansas and Georgia.
