Mock: Is Texas still respected by all?
We've all read the shirt that says, "Loved by Few, Hated by Many, Respected by All." Many schools print these shirts with their school's logo on them, yet many don't seem half as appropriate as those printed in the Burnt Orange and White.
As a fan you love it, as a opposing team you hate it, and as a player you appreciate it. After all, we're the ones week in and week out who are greeted at Texas Royal Memorial Stadium by the best fans in the country every home game Saturday. We're also the ones greeted by "boos," people shooting us the finger and obscene words and gestures every away Saturday. And the best of all is that Saturday in October at the State Fair of Texas when we make our way through the sea of crimson and cream, and bleeding into the Burnt Orange faithful. At home we're loved, on the road we're hated, and as much as I hate to say it, at the Cotton Bowl, no matter which side you're on, you're respected.
