Wed. practice report: Focusing on East Carolina
Junior quarterback Daniel Evans is obviously more aware of the history of NC State football than the average player being the son of former Pack quarterback/punter and current radio analyst Johnny Evans.
So it comes as no surprise that Evans, who could start Saturday against East Carolina if sophomore Harrison Beck is unable to go with his shoulder injury, is very familiar with the rivalry with Pirates.
"Everything I hear is probably from my Grandma watching my dad play," Evans noted. "She had some pretty good stories about the rivalries and the fans in the stands and all the fights and everything. That's pretty much the first thing I think of, how into the fans are on both sides. We know a lot of guys that play there and a lot of their guys know guys that play here. It will be fun. I know it will be loud. I've been down to Greenville when I was younger watching NC State play so I remember how loud it was, how crazy they are about football."
