Tiger Notebook: Playing without Pig
By far the worst news to come out of the game was the loss of captain Pig Brown. With less than five minutes left, Brown tore his right Achilles' tendon. Missouri said he would miss the rest of the season and it appears the senior has played his final game as a Tiger.
During the press conference, the Tigers did not yet know Brown's status, but Daniel was asked how big a blow it would be if Mizzou were to lose him for an extended period of time.
"It's gonna hurt. He's a captain, he's a leader, he's been playing unbelievably these last three or four weeks," Daniel said. "To lose him would be a big blow, but that's why we have depth. Del Howard will step up for us and make big plays and we'll adjust."
Third safety Justin Garrett missed Saturday's game with a hyper extended elbow. There was no update on his status for next week.
