Freshman Redshirt Report
The following article appeared in the Oct. 24 issue of Spurs & Feathers.
The South Carolina football coaching staff signed what is universally regarded as the best recruiting class in the history of the program for 2007.

The staff expected one or two would not qualify and they had some creative plans, gray shirting, etc., for the others, but it never came to that as academic issues and a couple of defections reduced the number to 24.
Three Florida signees - DB Antonio Allen of Ocala, DB Akeem Auguste of Hollywood and RB Eric Baker of Jacksonville did not qualify.
