NU Notes: Role reversal for Huskers
After suffering through a month of lopsided conference losses, Nebraska finally found itself on the front end of a blowout on Saturday.
The Huskers' 73-31 victory over Kansas State ended a five-game losing streak for NU.
"The last month has just been terrible, it really has been" safety Ben Eisenhart said. "But there was nothing you could say, it's just one of those things that happens and we had to bounce back and to have this today. It was almost surreal."
Senior linebacker Bo Ruud said Saturday's win was the most enjoyable game of the season for the Huskers.
"That's the most fun we've had this season, that's for sure," Ruud said. "You couldn't ask for a better way to go out."
Eisenhart and Ruud were among 29 Husker seniors playing their final home game in Memorial Stadium.
"It was a great day for our seniors," Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan said.
