On to Arrowhead
MANHATTAN, KS--Earlier this week, Gary Pinkel deadpanned that he had no idea who Missouri played after Kansas State. He now admits to knowing.
"Chad (Moller) told me afterwards, so I know," Pinkel said after Mizzou dispatched the Wildcats 49-32. "I found out it was Kansas."
He wasn't going to make it to the locker room without knowing. On two separate occasions, with the team saulting them in the corner of Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Tiger fans broke out in raucous chants of "Beat KU! Beat KU!"
Armageddon at Arrowhead, The Perfect Storm, media outlets throughout the Midwest have already coined their catchy slogans for the biggest game in the history of what is now mildly called "The Border Showdown."
