Mitchell plans to contribute, in time
When you're 6-foot-8, 315-pounds it's safe to say that college coaches will accept if you're a bit raw as a talent. It's safe to say that long-time Oklahoma commitment Britt Mitchell would fit that bill after an illustrious career at tiny Roscoe, Texas.
The most promising thing about the three-star offensive tackle is that he understands there is a lot to learn for him to be prepared for the college level and knows that any time at all can help him be ready. To that end he'll be enrolling early and is well aware that he'll be redshirting during the 2008 season.
"(Coach Bob Stoops) and I, we just talked about me coming in. He said I looked good and just need to keep up the good work. I'm graduating early so I'll get up there, learn the schemes, and get a year and a half of redshirt in me and hopefully after that start competing for a job," Mitchell explained.
