New twist in Michigan's recruitment of Floyd
Each coaching staff views each individual prospect a little differently and sees them as different fits for their team's and system's. Greenville (S.C.) J.L. Mann athlete J.T. Floyd is a prospect Lloyd Carr's staff recruited vigorously to Ann Arbor. With Rich Rodriguez now at the helm of the Michigan program, Floyd is again a wanted man.
The 6-0, 185-pound Floyd made a verbal commitment to Tennessee in September of his junior year, but started to take a look at other schools when his recruitment picked up last spring. One of those he took extensive interest in was Michigan. He would visit Ann Arbor twice in a five-month span, the last coming as a visitor when the Wolverines hosted Purdue on Oct. 13.
