Stewart wants to relax and then get ready for '08

WVSports.com SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.-In his first press conference as the head football coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers, Bill Stewart told a packed ballroom at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort here on Thursday that he wants to relax and get ready for '08.
The Mountaineers upset BCS 4th-ranked Oklahoma Wednesday night 48-28 in what may be the greatest victory in the long history of the football program. They were a 7 ½-point underdog, 84 percent of an ESPN fan poll favored the Sooners.
Stewart took over a program that had lost to arch-rival Pitt 13-9 on Dec. 1, lost its head coach Rich Rodriguez, may have lost recruiting commitments, and at least two former assistant coaches-Calvin Magee and Tony Gibson.
