KSU ends long home losing streak
Well it had to end sometime. On Wednesday night Kansas State ended their 24 game home losing streak to Kansas, and also squashed the Jayhawks dreams for a perfect season beating Kansas 84-75. Freshman phenom Michael Beasley was a big part of the win. Beasley, who scored 25 points with 6 rebounds, was still impressed with the Jayhawks defense.
Though it wasn't tough enough to stop the Wildcats from prevailing, Kansas, which has thrived this season on putting opponents away early, could never get an upper hand on the Wildcats. For senior guard Clent Stewart, who was on the Kansas State team that knocked off Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse two years ago, and has played in his share of Sunflower Showdowns, knew what kind of intensity the Jayhawks were going to bring.
