Oklahoma gets it's first 2009 commitment
It may be the night of National Signing Day, but that hasn't stopped Oklahoma from getting their name out with some of the nation's top prospects and with their 2008 class seemingly wrapped up Oklahoma has already dug it's heels into the class of 2009 extending numerous offers and hosting a junior day last weekend. One of those visitors was Ronnell Lewis from tiny Dewar, Okla.
It seems that the 6-foot-3, 220-pound two-way prep star came away feeling really good about Oklahoma.
Just as importantly it seems he left with Oklahoma feeling really good about him.
"We were up there on Saturday for the Jr. day, and things went really well," said Dewar head coach Josh Been. "Then on Monday coach Jackie Shipp called and asked for some academic information.
