Bruin commit has you covered
The Bruins have one known committed player for the class of 2009 who happens to be one of the nation's top cover corners in Marlon Pollard (6-1, 160, 4.45). The Bruins were way ahead of the recruiting curve when they offered the talented corner the summer going into his junior season with Valencia, Calif.
Since then Pollard has moved back to the Inland Empire and will play his senior season at San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon.
Schools from diverse areas of the country such as Colorado, Michigan, Michigan State, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Rutgers, Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Stanford, Washington and USC have shown in Pollard.
With all this interest in Pollard how does that affect his commitment to the Bruins?
"I'm very positive about UCLA," Pollard said. "I'm just trying to get better so I'm ready to get out on the field for the Bruins when my time comes.
"Coach DeWayne Walker, I really bonded with him," Pollard said. "UCLA is really family oriented and from day one the Bruins always treated us like family.
